Here's my little story:
At the beginning of Summer I, I went out and bought a very exciting school book: American Government: Continuity and Change. A very exciting book as many of you may know. But probably not because Texas likes to make people take a Texas/American Government class- something Arkansas strangely does not offer.
Well, I paid the very exciting price of $57 and some cents to this great book's cause. I felt glorified for doing so. Today, when I went to turn the book back in, before I could even get to the counter the mean, uncaring buy-back girl stopped me and said,
"We are discontinuing that edition. We can only give you a dollar for it."
"But I just bought it 2 weeks ago for $57."
"Yeah, that sucks."
That girl is so observant. That does suck. A whole dollar! That package of gum I've been eyeing for so long now is finally mine!
